HDR WELDING
Professor Mann learned to weld in early childhood, and this inspired him to invent HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging. Whereas other breakthroughs in welding helments, like 3M's Speedglas, provide global auto-darkening, the MannGlas helmet provides HDR vision. This means the user can see the welding arc plus the weld puddle and surrounding material all very clearly in complete darkness.
INCREASED WELDING PRODUCtIVITY
Superior visual awareness of the welding environment, compared to conventional passive or auto-darkening filters, allows for a higher degree of welding accuracy and aesthetic quality.
BETTER OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY
Mediated-reality HDR solutions provide superior protection from eye injuries, which account for approximately 25% of all welders' compensation claims in the US.
REDUCED WELDING DEFICIeNCIES
Visual clarity of the welding area allows for reduced welding errors, fewer repair requirements, and improved cost-effectiveness of welding operations.
